To provide catering and banquet service to in-house and outside functions. Handles all Food & Beverage needs. Ensures that all functions go out on time and that all the requirements are met. Responsible for inventory and placement of all banquet equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides service to all banquet functions, including set-up of function rooms and service of all Food & Beverage requirements.
Completes all tasks assigned by Banquet Captain in a timely manner in accordance with banquet standards.
Transports all items needed for a function from storerooms, kitchens, or other areas.
Serve all food and beverage items to guests as required for each function.
Set up, break down and clean-up of all scheduled functions.
Performs any other tasks assigned by Banquet Captain or management.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in a banquet department.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
