Summary
The individual will work closely with the Director of Agronomy, Assistant Superintendents, and Equipment Technician Supervisor. This position will have the opportunity to experience all aspects of golf course maintenance. A typical work week would consist of approximately 5-10 hrs. assisting Equipment Technician Supervisor, and 30-35 hrs working on projects or general golf course maintenance. The individual should be able to operate specialty equipment, such as the tractors, skid-loader, trenchers and backhoe for construction projects and loading material for general course maintenance in a safe manner. If time allows, the individual will have the ability to learn how to repair and troubleshoot our irrigation system.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Age Requirement
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear. Work Environment
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
