Summary

Successfully manage all facets of the Golf Club House including restaurant, Snack bar and beverage/Snack Cart. This position must insure all Guests are served in a professional & timely manner by knowledgeable staff within a fast pace golf environment.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage daily Club House operations
  • Manage payroll and related
  • Must effectively forecast business needs
  • Manage Food & Beverage department expenses
  • Interact with guests daily
  • Solicit feedback from guests concerning service
  • Consistently Practice SERVSAFE & HACCP procedures and standards
  • Insure that staff consistently practices SERVSAFE & HACCP procedures and standards
  • Consistently Practice TIPS Alcohol Awareness standards and procedures
  • Insure that staff consistently practices TIPS Alcohol Awareness standards and procedures
  • Assist in menu development and execution
  • Develop and train staff in sequence of service standards
  • Provide consistent, high quality guest service
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings to effectively relay all important information to staff
  • Interface with other Club House/Golf Course managers
  • Develop and implement daily side work duties for all staff
  • Work cohesively with Beverage management to develop drink specials programs
  • Implement and inspect all daily cash handling procedures
  • Manage and control all daily POS (Point of Sale) functions including the running of all daily reports
  • Maintain all equipment to specifications
  • Conduct daily inventories
  • Order products through Eatec Requisitioning system
  • Attend meetings as assigned
  • Assists with catering policy and pricing; may carry out planning, execution, production and closure of all events.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manages total of 12 employees in the Golf Club House Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Experience and/or Education

Must have knowledge of the game of Golf. One to three years related experience and/or training;

Bachelor's degree (B.A.); or equivalent combination of experience and education.

 

Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
