Summary

Provide consistent high quality service to all guests who dine in the restaurant.  This is obtained by leadership and management of front of the house team while maintaining open two-way communication with restaurant chef and culinary team.    

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Promote Cache Creek Casino Resort in a positive manner.
  • Promote positive work environment
  • Train staff weekly on sequence of service standards
  • Manage operations of shift including assignments at work stations, breaks, coaching counseling and scheduling for all staff on duty.
  • Communicate and work with support departments to insure smooth operations.
  • Hold daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Manage safety and sanitation throughout the restaurant.
  • Perform daily walk-through of physical plant to perform preventative maintenance.
  • Communicate all shift information in Log-Book.
  • Understand and be able to operate Point of Sale System, run daily reports as instructed.
  • Order provisions through the automated requisition system as required.
  • Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

 

Education and/or Experience

One to three years experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor/Assistant Manager in high volume three meal/24 hour a day operation or similar customer service environment. Server experience required. Ability to handle high stress situations. High level of patience is also required. Must enjoy working with people. 

 

Age Requirement

Must be at least 21 years of age.

 

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Cache Creek Casino Resort Tribal Gaming License, Sanitation Certificate, Alcohol Awareness Certificate.
